A couple of individuals have referred me to the only known movie house in Islamabad, Planet X. I have not yet visited this "studio and cafe," but it has a membership policy about which I have recently inquired. This is the reply from the owner.

Dear Mr. Christian,

Thank you your interest in Planet X Membership. Let me give you a brief introduction about Planet X Studio & Café, it is a small private facility for members and there guests. We have a high–end theater facility which has just recently started showing Movies on HD DVD format, offering an un-surpassed cinematic experiences to our patrons. We have a café which offers a nice mix of snacks and mock-tails and offer a credit facility to members who can just sign for entertaining their guest and get billed at the end of the month.

We keep trying to have different events for the enjoyment of our members and encourage them to take initiate to organize their own events at the facility.

Memberships are taken on reference bases, that is to say that one has to be introduced by a member. We take Couples (2 persons) and Families (4 Persons). For diplomats or Foreigners working in MNCs we make an exception as they usually don’t know the regular members here. In that case a three month probationary membership is given which is confirmed if both parties are comfortable at the end of this period.

If you are interested in the regular Membership and know someone who is a member, you can get the membership. Our one time registration is Rs: 25,000/- and A Monthly membership charges for a couple are Rs: 1,000 and for a family is Rs:1,500. All movies are free for members and all of them get a credit line in café.

If you are here for 3 Months of less, then you can become a registered guest so that you can visit us without an accompanying member.

Registration charges for Guest Couple is Rs: 5,000 and a monthly charge of Rs: 1,000.
Registration charges for Guest Family is Rs: 5,000 and a monthly charge of Rs: 1,500.

These are valid for three months only, though one can take an additional 3 months by paying the same registration again. This is helpful for some one who is not sure of the duration of their stay. Please note that guests don’t get a credit line for café.
