Enjoyable Arrival

There are a number of things that made my introduction to Pakistan and my school enjoyable during this first week. Here is a list revealing why I feel lucky to be chosen to teach by ISOI.

Well-organized transportation
Quick airport pick-up upon arrival
Vans to/from school, planned shopping, and dinners during first week
Drivers in vans

Ample living accommodations upon arrival
Spacious rooms
Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms
Stocked refrigerator (water, fruit, homemade item, drink)
Prepared bed
Helper to greet us at house and present for first weeks
Guarded facility
Duplex

Orientation
Warm greeting at airport
Quickly given information packet and allowed to rest for first 24 hours
First week planned out with flexibility
Seems to be frequent times for questions
Dinners during first week at veterans’ houses

Overall positive outlook on school and Islamabad
